AWAIC's Summer Solstice
The 20th annual Summer Soltice Festival will be held June 20th & 21st at the East end of the Delaney Park Strip (between E & F Streets along 9th & 10th Avenue).
make this event possible! Bring your family, friends and ideas and join us for Summer Solstice volunteer meetings, held at AWAIC (100 W. 13th Avenue) on Thursday, June 5th, 12th and 19th from 5:30 to 6:30pm. The volunteer sign up sheet is available online.

AWAIC's Summer Volunteer Training
will prepare potential volunteers to work with survivors of domestic violence. Opportunities will be available to answer our 24-hour crisis line, work with Children's Advocates to run our children's groups, or assist survivors at the courthouse with protective orders. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of families in crisis from domestic violence, this is a great chance to become involved!
Sessions are June 17th, 19th & 26th from 6 to 9pm and June 28th from 9am to 4pm.

ALASKA WOMEN WRITE, A Group of word-loving-women!
Alaska Women Write is a group of word loving women who meet weekly to edit, critique and enjoy our writing. We meet each Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at 917 W. 12th St. in downtown Anchorage.
This gentle group of women share information about getting published, local events of interest and our writing adventures. Location may be changing this summer.

Last Monday of Each Month, 7 - 9 PM at the Alaska Regional Cancer Resource Center, Medical Office Building B, Suite 220, Anchorage. Come together with other women in a safe and caring environment to share your feelings, experiences and support, or voice your concerns and learn about resources and treatments.
